Welcome to The Coach & Horses

A pub with the name Coach & Horses has been on this site in Soho since 1739, and the existing building dates back to a similar era. The famous poet Percy Shelley had lodgings opposite the pub since 1811 where he wrote several famous pieces. It's believed this that this was his local watering hole, before he eloped with Mary - who of course went on to write the infamous 'Frankenstein'. There may not be such monsters here today - just a good pint of ale and some hearty pub food.
