The City Tavern
Welcome to The City Tavern
The City Tavern sits in the heart of the square mile between the grandeur of the City of London Guild Hall and the bustling retail hub of Cheapside. It's been suggested that the pub took its name from the original City Tavern in Philadelphia which was a frequent watering hole for leading figures in the American Revolution. Maybe such important debates aren't made in this City Tavern, but we'll provide a nice pint of ale, hearty food and a welcome hideaway from the office. The main bar, provides a comfortable feel of a traditional London pub. The first floor bar and roof terrace make a fantastic place to enjoy a meal, snack or just a drink. This area is also available to hire & converts easily for quiz nights, drinks receptions, discos and much more. Our basement bar has two pool tables & darts if you're the sporting type and is the perfect place for workplace tournaments or a quick game over lunch with a sandwich and a pint. We have a lange of spaces and rooms available to book. Great for any event from groups of 15 up to 150. Quiz facilities readily available with a drop down projector, roaming microphone, Ipod connection and flipchart all at your disposal.
